The Lane Recreation Ground
Awsworth’s go-to hub for sport, play, and community life. The Lane Recreation Ground is a public open space right in the heart of the village.

Inclusive play space
A rubber-surfaced playground with toddler swings, multi-play unit and safe accessible equipment for children of all ages.
All-season sports hub
Includes a cricket square, bowling green, sports pavilion, skate park, and a Multi-use Games Area (MUGA) for football and community teams.
A green gathering place
An open grassy park dotted with benches and often used for events, informal games, and club meet-ups.

Shilo Recreation Ground
Awsworth’s quieter woodland space. Shilo Recreation Ground is a gentle green space where families can relax, wander, and play in nature’s company.

Pocket Park playground
Climbing tower, basket swing, trampoline, and musical tubes set among bark and grass surfacing to spark creativity and fun.
Woodland walks & Cooper's Pond
Paths weave through planted areas and small woods, with a board walk to Cooper's Pond, offering a calm space to enjoy nature and village wildlife.
Small-scale sports & seating
A football pitch with a pavilion, plenty of space to sit, and a calm setting for relaxed catch-ups or small community events.
